CMIS PD 2020 presentation

Friday, October 9th, was CMIS's Professional Development day. Our Spiritual Life Committee had Rob Johnson (Spiritual Advisor) and Jack Sirisujin (Chaplain) as representatives to present a training session titled "SOUTHEAST ASIA THROUGH RELIGION" which explained how to understand students and colleagues from Thailand and Southeast Asian (SEA) countries through their religious background (Buddhism, Animism, Brahmanism, etc.) which influences their views and interactions with “Others” in the world.

Annual worship service at The First Church of Chiang Mai

On Sunday, September 20th, CMIS administrators and CMIS Spiritual Life Committee members joined the 10:30am church service at the First Church of Chiang Mai. As a member of the Church of Christ in Thailand (CCT), CMIS is honored to be invited to worship together with the First Church each year. Three of our staff members were also able to encourage the congregation by singing a beautiful rendition of “What Faith Can Do”.

The Spiritual Life Committee organized the blessings ceremony for H.M. H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.

New Academic Blessings Ceremony

The Spiritual Life Committee organized a small worship ceremony to celebrate the new academic year. This year due to the social distance restrictions the service was done both in the Auditorium and online. There were no group singing but scripture readings, prayers and praise songs were provided by the SLC mini-band.

Thai Staff retreat day

It is tradition for CMIS Thai staff to have a retreat day before the beginning of a new academic year. This year's activities even though done under social distance measures every staff had fun, relaxed and blessed.
